Lili’s Diary

The afternoon light is lazy by now. It stretches across the wall, the curtain, my hand. The tea cools on the windowsill, next to a chestnut I brought home in my pocket like a treasure. Outside a crow is arguing with the wind. I just sit in the rhythm of it, with no plan and no reproach in me. Autumn teaches that slow can be beautiful too. The sun goes down, and I don’t even care what comes after.

“To smell the fallen leaves. That’s a drug.” Lili’s Diary

As I gather my early manuscripts and reread the pages of Lili’s Diary, I find myself once again immersed in this unmistakable, early voice.

Lili did not write to craft ornate sentences. She wrote to endure. To ensure that the fog, the chill, the sudden sunbeam, the mud, the rickety pier, and the small, sheet-wide joys of life would not wash away without a trace.

“And the Sun is shining, good lord! And the air is lukewarm, warm; I watch the trees arching over my head, drifting back with a gentle jolt as I step. And tiny leaves, birds, butterflies spin down from them... I like it, I laugh: here comes the foolish woman. This is actually sexy; this is actually funny.”

Lili’s Diary is gradually taking shape as a book within the Szingy Books workshop. It will feature no grand resolutions, no moral lessons. Only presence.

How does it feel for you when the sun unexpectedly breaks through the fog?

György Németh – Lili’s Diary (Anatomy of Memory and States of Being)

When an author returns to early manuscripts, the intent is often not to rewrite them, but to preserve their untouched purity. György Németh’s (Szigetingy) upcoming volume, Lili’s Diary, represents such an untouched text.

While the author’s later essays and prose works sit at the intersection of philosophical discipline and visual arts, Lili’s Diary reveals the most ordinary, yet most hidden layers of human existence.

The Internal Mosaics of the Diary:

Seasons and Time Passing Through the Body: The melancholy of sunless days that turns to childlike joy in a single moment as the canopy of leaves arches overhead.

Wry Self-Irony: A forgiving confrontation with female social roles, fears, and expectations (“all things considered, I feel completely different in my skin than I used to”).

The Material World and Nature’s Texture: A rickety wooden terrace, lakeside mud clinging to shoes, the convex trembling of the water, and a round, cotton-candy peace.

Lili’s Diary is not a chronological account. It does not seek to explain life, but to capture its density.

Currently in preparation under Szingy Books, this diary-book speaks to readers who seek not rapid plotlines, but slow, arresting moments of stillness.

György Németh: The Synthesized Presence

The symbiosis of intellectual autonomy, human creation, and AI

1.2. The compulsion for superficial reaction vs. the lack of deep understanding

We live in noise. Information, the flood of algorithm-generated content, and external expectations exert pressure on us day after day to a degree that almost imperceptibly erodes the individual's inner autonomy. The contemporary digital environment demands not merely presence but immediate reaction, continuous opinion-forming, automatic responses to stimuli, and self-evaluation built on external feedback, likes, or statistics.

In this constant state of readiness, preserving independence is no longer merely a selectable aesthetic stance but an intellectual and mental hygiene necessity. The main driving force behind the intellectual antecedents of this book and my own inner path-finding was the recognition that if a person does not build their own intellectual defenses and articulate their own inner priorities, the outside world and algorithms will formulate them instead.

Intellectual independence in today's world does not mean the complete exclusion of information, but the art of selective presence. This awareness manifests on three fundamental levels:

•
Rigorous filtering of stimuli: Consciously choosing what may enter our inner intellectual sphere and what is noise that must be firmly kept out.

•
The right to slow down: Retaining and embracing the right to slow down processes in an environment that may regard continuous acceleration as the only valid direction of progress.

•
Non-commercial value creation: Preserving the joy of pure creation, free from the market and external pressures to conform, in a world that wants to convert everything into a commodity and a performance metric.

RP's Story (The Story of Péter Révházi)

RP's Story (that is, The Story of Péter Révházi) is one of the earliest and most distinctive literary projects by György Németh, writer and pharmacist.

The work is characterized by the following features:

It appears in the form of novel fragments, conveying inner experiences, emotions, and unique patterns of thought.

It is built from concise, often single-sentence reflections, which carry a deeper philosophical resonance either on their own or as accompanying texts to photographs.

Its tone is remarkably diverse, ranging from profound, reflective, and insightful observations to lighter, more playful elements, blending multiple stylistic approaches.

The writings and the creative projects associated with them have appeared regularly on contemporary art platforms and cultural forums, where they contribute to the intersection of literature, visual art, and philosophical reflection.

Literary Significance

RP's Story (The Story of Péter Révházi) may also be viewed as an early precursor to many of the ideas that later found fuller expression in the Szigetingy Philosophy. Through its fragments, observations, and aphoristic style, the work explores themes such as memory, silence, beauty, human relationships, and the fleeting nature of experience. These elements would eventually become central concepts in Németh's later philosophical and artistic work.

Intellectual Autonomy as a Stance: The Synthesized Presence is Now Available (Free Download on Amazon Kindle: Oct 7–12)

In an era dominated by digital noise, algorithm-driven feeds, and generative artificial intelligence, the rarest resource is no longer information – it is inner silence, focused attention, and intellectual autonomy.

How can we preserve our authentic creative voice in a world that demands instant responses and continuous presence? How can technology become a partner in an ethical, deeply humanistic symbiosis rather than eroding our thought process?

The book The Synthesized Presence explores these questions through the framework of the Szigetingy Philosophy.

The Synthesis of Scientific Precision and Artistic Intuition

The 12 Thoughts elaborated in the book are not a collection of isolated maxims, but a dynamically interconnected intellectual architecture. Bringing together the rigorous scientific discipline of a pharmaceutical/analytical background, a visual artist’s perspective, and deep essayistic writing, the book offers a practical and theoretical foundation to help outline our own intellectual boundaries.

Machine intelligence can be an exceptional generator of formal options and structural variations – yet meaning-making, narrative integrity, and ethical responsibility can only stem from lived human experience.

Free Kindle Download (October 7–12)

To allow these ideas to reach an international readership and digital workshop communities, the English edition – The Synthesized Presence: Intellectual Autonomy, Human Creation, and AI Symbiosis – is available for free on Amazon Kindle for a limited time.

György Németh's Early Writings: Various Melodies

Various Melodies (Különféle dallamok) is one of the best-known early writing and notebook series by György Németh (working under the artistic names Szigetingy and Szingy), the Budapest-based writer, pharmacist, and visual artist. Characterized by its lyrical tone and reflective sensibility, the project occupies a distinctive place within his early creative work.

Published on online platforms such as the György Németh – Szingy Art blog and the Szingy Gallery Budapest websites, the series belongs to an early period of the author's development. It predates both his more refined creative writings and the mature formulation of the Szigetingy Philosophy, evolving alongside his prose fragments collected under the title RP's Story (The Story of Péter Révházi).

Main Characteristics and Themes

Evocative Sentences:
The writings take a highly distinctive form, often consisting of single-sentence reflections, concise observations, or fragments of thought. The author sometimes describes them as “Notes of a Pharmacist” or “Notes of a Photographer.”

Artistic Symbiosis:
Entries in Various Melodies rarely stand alone. They typically accompany visual works, atmospheric black-and-white photographs, vintage portraits, or classical paintings, enriching them with additional layers of meaning and interpretation.

Philosophical and Lyrical Tone:
The texts explore themes such as human existence, the art of slowing down, silence, transience, lost loves, springtime, and the small wonders of everyday life. A characteristic reflection from the series reads:

“Art is not a series of answers, but the quiet whisper of questions into infinity.”

Literary Significance

Various Melodies can be viewed as one of the earliest manifestations of the artistic and philosophical sensibility that would later culminate in the Szigetingy Philosophy. Through its fragments, poetic observations, and contemplative tone, the series reveals the author's enduring fascination with memory, beauty, light, silence, and the subtle dimensions of human experience.
