The Full Blown Rose
Charles Courtney Curran (American, 1861-1942) - The Full
Blown Rose, 1924 (Oil on canvas laid down on board) - - According to Charles
Curran’s record book, this work was executed in his New York studio at 39 West
67th Street in December 1924. The young woman depicted was one of his favorite
models, Ruth Jeffrey. Curran used Ruth Jeffrey as his model for a number of
years and she appears in many of his well known paintings.
