Tiler Peck
Tiler Peck in Theme and Variations, New York City Ballet,
September 2014. - Peck, through a combination of technical assurance and imagination,
has become a master illusionist. A relatively small person, she seems to expand
to twice her size in this role, moving through Balanchine’s formal, regal
choreography with weight, majesty, and a composure that belies the notorious
difficulty of the choreography. She hovers off-balance, throws off blindingly
fast chaînés, and turns transitional steps into major events.
